World of Magic is a free experience for Roblox that resembles numerous entries in the fantasy RPG genre. The experience was created by Vetex Games in 2019, and the game has had immense popularity since then, amassing over 27.8 million visits since its launch. The game has also been favorited over 400,000 times and, at the time of writing, had 111 active players. 

Roblox is a revolutionary platform that gives players like you the chance and tools to create your own games. The platform then also gives you access to an audience of unimaginable proportions. This is by far the easiest way to start out as a game developer. Your idea doesn’t even have to be completely original; Roblox is full of games that take inspiration from other titles, such as Crewmates Among Us and The Amazing Spider-Man. 

The future of World of Magic

Before we discuss the features of the game, we need to address the elephant in the room. According to the developer, World of Magic is undergoing a massive update and overhaul in which the game will take on a new name. It’s not clear whether Arcane Odyssey, the new game, will be a completely separate entity or whether the current game will simply be renamed. Time and again, beta versions and major updates of Roblox games have been registered as separate entities on the experience list. 

Magic and Mayhem

World of Magic is an action RPG with dense fantasy elements. During this game, and presumably, its successor/ update, you’ll be able to explore a vast world and discover brand new spells and sources of magic. You can choose whether you want to protect the world from evil or become the darkness that others seek to destroy. 

If you choose the former, you’ll be able to raise your stellar reputation and become a powerful wizard that the common folk praise. Should you choose the latter, you’ll be pursued relentlessly by the Magic Council. 

Brilliant game, uncertain future

The fact that we don’t know whether this game will stay on the platform in its current form, now really is the best time to check it out. The new/ updated experience is set to launch in late 2022.

It will be listed as paid early access for the first few months while the developers deal with any bugs and glitches. After the test period, the game will be free to play. Initially, the early access experience will cost 100 Robux.
